The neon glow of Hong Kong’s skyline mirrored something older, softer, and eternal: the haze rising from rice paddies at dawn. Rice Paddy Haze is my interpretation of that moment—where the modern light show across Victoria Harbor recalls the rhythm of the land, a blend of tradition and futurism.

Captured during my 18-month sabbatical around the world (2012–2014), this image bridges two journeys: the pulse of Asia’s favorite city and the quiet beauty that would greet me next in Bali.
