The Dawali festivities surrounded me with a swirl of sound, color, and movement. The air was thick with incense, laughter, and the rush of festival crowds. In the middle of this chaotic energy, a man paused and smiled.

In that moment, time seemed to stop. His gaze met mine, and for an instant there was only stillness—two strangers sharing a quiet knowing in the midst of celebration. When I lifted my camera and captured his portrait, I knew I had preserved not just an image, but the memory of being there: the scent of incense, the press of the crowd, and the enduring human spirit revealed in his eyes.
