Like a butterfly tracing invisible paths across the sky, Hong Kong’s light show revealed itself in patterns of movement—up, down, and all around. Flight of the Blue Butterfly captures that fleeting choreography, where architecture, light, and imagination converge into something both delicate and powerful.

Photographed in spring 2012 during my 18-month sabbatical, this piece reflects my fascination with light as a storyteller. Just as a butterfly leaves behind no trace but memory, so too do these luminous trails vanish—except here, preserved as art.
