Name: One-armed Priest
Date: Fall 2012
Dawali festivities were in full swing; the chaotic bustle swirling all around as I walked through the throngs of people dressed in their brightly colored garb. I stood there with my camera drinking in the differences when this one fellow stopped and smiled at me. It felt as though time had stopped as we stood there staring at each other. I knew the minute that I took this picture that I had captured exactly what was burnt into my memory…the feeling of being, the smells of the incense from the festival, the knowing shared between two strangers.
