I heard the chatter and looked around to see what was happening. I was walking through the rice field when I suddenly spotted their eyes upon me. One head, then the next popped up between the layers of green. Their squawks of disapproval informed me that I had interrupted a very important conversation. As I tip-toed closer, their waddling walks in the other direction let me know that I wasn’t invited into their afternoon social hour of sunbathing and puddle jumpings.
